Bench Warmer
I have injured my left shoulder and my right hand so I've been watching from the sidelines this week. It's extremely frustrating not being on the mats, but sitting and watching I'm learning just as much if not more. Can't wait to take it from the bench to the mats.

Sustainability and Balance
I feel like I lost my focus last year but looking back, opportunity was knocking on a different front. So I didn't lose my focus I just turned it onto something else. While I try to "DO IT ALL" I realize that it is impossible for that to happen. Balance and sustainability are my true goals.

Back at it.
What to say? I don't like talking about myself or what I'm doing, thinking, feeling. I'm going to work on that.
I failed the majority of my requirements last year , but I never stopped trying to accomplish them. My focus was shifted to work (I seen an opening) and family (Father had a double bypass and a new valve put in his heart). That's all for now. Baby steps for blogging.

No excuse
No excuses for not blogging , head not on right lately.
I have been trying to organize and schedule a baseball tournament for with little luck ,but it's over now . Not having done anything like this before it's been tough. I asked for some help and all I heard was crickets except for a few.
All this being done through volunteering and as much as I like helping out it has been way too much for me. It's definitely not one of my strengths ,I found out the hard way. I have learned a lot and will pass this valued information on but have no desire to ever do again. Going to stick with coaching the kids and hopefully someone else better suited to the organizational aspect will step up and do so.
It seems like no matter where I am or what I'm doing the 80/20 rule is there. 20% of the people doing 80 % of the work. It's frustrating and unacceptable but I'm at a loss on how to change it. (At Work is not like that because if you're not pulling your weight I send you packing).
Back to coaching : I've spent countless hours over the years learning to coach and coaching kids hockey and ball. I'm am far from the best coach but I really do have fun with the kids. This year has been has been the worst I've experienced to date and we're only halfway. It's not the kids it's the parents , three of them I believe are seriously delusional(I hope they read this the know who they are). Their attitude transmits through their child and is poisonous to the rest of the team. There is so much more to say about that subject but this blog would be more like a novel in length.

Struggling ?
I sit here trying to write something , that is clear and makes sense , but as I write it I can hardly understand what is going on and I'm the one writing it. Maybe next year one of my goals should be a writing class.
So I would like to use the word struggle here but I honestly doesn't fit. I'm not struggling , my results are there , some show hard word and others show where more more work needs to be done. It isn't easy is finding the time to do it all. Not just my goals , but all my commitments. No record setting going on yet , but the year is not over.

Leader?
What makes you a leader? Is it your actions alone or is there something else? To lead you need at least one to follow. Is one follower enough to be considered a leader? Is someone a leader because they have a follower? Is someone with a lot of followers a better leader? So many questions I have about leading , and I have read a few books on the subject.
I ask because I want to be one , not just any leader , but an exceptional leader and Mastery seems like a good place to start.

Busy Week
The last week has been very busy. 3 nights were doing baseball evaluating , Saturday and Sunday I was in coaching courses. The whole time evaluating and learning I was comparing the mechanics of Kung Fu and baseball. It really is too much for me to do but the pre season rush is almost over so I can resume my semblance of structure.
I also seen a Dr. for the pain in my shoulders he said that it appears to be tendinitis in both and a pinched nerve on my right side. So I've changed the amount of push-ups I do at a time ,no more than 30 , and it seems to have made a difference. Less pain and discomfort throughout the day.
One of my goals was to get Shelly and James to start a blog. I see value in it , even though I seem to miss on occasion. James was really interested and has now started one so here it is.
http://jamesfuhr.blogspot.ca I wish I could write as good as he does at 10.
